1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing story coverage
A Brentwood firm may describe its service area at several levels: Brentwood, Williamson County, Tennessee or a broader metropolitan market. Those are not interchangeable. The Census records Brentwood city as a municipality in Williamson County, while Bosseo’s Legal News page describes monitoring and matching stories for a firm’s state and practice areas. That makes geographic definition an early decision. A page about a Tennessee law change may be relevant statewide; a page about an incident elsewhere in Tennessee may require a different explanation; a page naming Brentwood or Williamson County may have a more direct local connection. None of these distinctions can be resolved by assuming that Brentwood’s population represents demand.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review how the firm’s intended service area would be expressed in coverage. Decide whether the news strategy should primarily address Tennessee legal developments, Williamson County matters, Brentwood-specific events, or a documented combination. Keep the geographic wording on each page accurate and avoid implying that a statewide development is a Brentwood event.
