1. Define what “Socastee” means in the campaign
The Census record identifies Socastee as a CDP in Horry County. That exact relationship matters when your firm decides whether Socastee should be treated as a named service location, part of a broader Horry County area, or one location within a larger South Carolina strategy. The population estimate does not establish how many people search for a lawyer, how many firms advertise, or how many inquiries Local Services Ads would produce. It also does not show that every person in the CDP is a potential client.
Recommended approach
Start with a geographic review rather than a population-based budget assumption. List the locations your firm is genuinely prepared to serve, compare that list with the service areas available in the advertising program, and decide whether Socastee should be evaluated separately from other locations. Keep the geographic question separate from the practice-area question: a firm may serve Socastee for one matter type but not another.
