Use Lancaster’s actual service area when reviewing intake
Your firm may serve Lancaster city, Lancaster County or a broader South Carolina market. Those are different geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Lancaster city as a municipality and records its county relationship as Lancaster County; it does not describe your firm’s client base or the origin of your calls. Intake Coach’s value therefore depends on how your firm defines a qualified inquiry and where those inquiries come from. A city-focused practice may need one set of intake questions, while a countywide or statewide practice may need additional questions about location, jurisdiction and deadlines.
Recommended approach
Before a consultation, write down the geographic boundaries that determine whether your firm can accept a matter. Review whether callers are asked where an incident occurred, where a proceeding is pending and whether the firm can act in that jurisdiction. Treat the Lancaster population figure as context for geographic planning only, not as a forecast of calls or cases.
