1. Define the geographic record before judging performance
Lancaster city and Lancaster County are not interchangeable territories. The Census record identifies Lancaster as a municipality and places it in Lancaster County; it does not establish how many prospective clients search from the city, how many come from elsewhere in the county, or whether a particular service page produces viable matters. That distinction matters when you review landing pages and case outcomes. A city page, a county page, a referral, and a direct visit should not be treated as the same geographic signal merely because each appears in a lead record.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic fields your firm needs to review during consultation. At minimum, distinguish the person’s stated service area from the page or channel that generated the inquiry. Keep Lancaster city and Lancaster County separate in reporting unless your firm intentionally serves them as one market. Do not use the population estimate as a forecast of leads or legal need.
