1. Start with the geography you intend to measure
The Census record identifies James Island town as a municipality in Charleston County. That relationship matters when you decide how to label locations in reporting. A dashboard question about James Island is not automatically the same as a question about Charleston County, the wider metropolitan area or all of South Carolina. Households, individuals and population estimates are also different measures. The available population estimate does not establish search volume, competition, legal need, calls, cases or revenue. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says its reporting can include tracked service-and-city targets and city data. Before relying on those views, your firm should decide whether a location label means the caller’s location, the page or keyword being measured, or the area your firm serves.
Recommended approach
Ask for a clear geographic definition for every report: James Island town, Charleston County, another service area or the state. Review whether location labels are consistent across rankings, calls, forms, intakes and attribution. Do not treat the James Island population estimate as a forecast.
