1. Define the geographic unit before reading the dashboard
The Census record identifies Central town as a municipality in Pickens County. A dashboard can become misleading when a firm treats “Central,” “Pickens County,” a broader South Carolina service area and a metropolitan area as interchangeable. They are not the same geographic unit. The population estimate of 5,320 describes the municipality during the 2020–2024 ACS 5-year period; it does not establish the number of households, people seeking counsel, online searches or viable matters. Review whether each location field is attached to a ranking, call, form, intake or matter, and whether the label represents the searcher’s location, the page’s target, the office’s service area or the matter’s venue.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate the geographic definitions used in the dashboard. Decide which views you need for Central, Pickens County, South Carolina and any other service area your firm actually serves. Do not combine those views until the underlying labels and counting rules are documented.
