1. Start with the geographic definition, not a broad market assumption
The U.S. Census Bureau records Newport East as a census-designated place in Newport County, Rhode Island. Its 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate is 11,069, with a margin of error of 850. That figure describes the place and its population estimate; it does not establish legal demand, search volume, competition, lead volume or revenue. A dashboard should therefore preserve the geographic question you actually want answered. A report about Newport East is not automatically a report about Newport County, the broader Rhode Island market or an undefined metropolitan area. If your firm serves several areas, those areas should be identified separately rather than blended into one total.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how location is represented in the dashboard and how you would distinguish Newport East activity from Newport County or statewide activity. Agree on the service areas, practice areas and page or campaign labels that should appear in reporting. Treat the Census geography as a boundary for interpretation, not as proof that a particular legal market exists.
