Start with the geographic relationship, not a population assumption
Your service area may include Middletown and other places, but the Census record establishes only that Middletown is a municipal town in Newport County and records its population estimate. It does not show which legal services people seek, how often they search, whether they prefer calls or forms, or whether a particular page produces a qualified inquiry. Those questions belong in your firm’s own records. Lead Attribution is relevant when you need to connect a specific inquiry to its originating channel and page instead of using Middletown’s population as a proxy for demand.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic fields you actually need before reviewing performance. Keep Middletown, Newport County, Rhode Island and any broader service area distinct. Then examine whether location, practice area, source and outcome appear together in the lead record.
