1. Start with Kingston’s actual service boundary
A Kingston page should not automatically imply statewide service. Kingston is a CDP in Washington County, and Bosseo’s public product description says a firm can choose statewide coverage or limit the footprint to counties it selects. That makes the first decision geographic: does your firm want to evaluate Kingston alone, Washington County, additional Rhode Island counties, or the state? The answer should follow your licensed practice, intake capacity, referral relationships, and willingness to serve inquiries from each location—not the population estimate. A broader boundary creates more possible service-and-city combinations, but the Census record cannot tell you whether those combinations attract searches or produce qualified matters.
Recommended approach
Bring a current service-area list to the consultation. Mark the communities and counties your firm is prepared to serve, then separate locations that are merely visible from locations where the firm can responsibly accept work. Ask Bosseo to explain how a Kingston page would fit inside that boundary and what would change if you later expand beyond Washington County.
