1. Define the Hopkinton geography before reading a number
The Census record identifies Hopkinton as a municipal town in Washington County, Rhode Island. A dashboard review should preserve that distinction. A number labeled Hopkinton should not silently include all of Washington County, the wider state or another service area. Likewise, a county-level view should not be treated as a town-level result. This matters when you compare location-qualified rankings, calls, forms and matters. A managing partner should know whether a tile represents a search target, a caller’s stated location, an intake address, a landing-page visit or a matter opened in the firm’s case system. Those are different fields.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels are defined for each reported measure. Agree in advance which locations the firm wants to inspect, how nearby or statewide inquiries are categorized and whether the dashboard separates location data from case-type data. Treat the Hopkinton population estimate as context for the service-area discussion, never as a forecast.
