1. Define the geographic record before judging performance
Valley township and Chester County are different geographic references. A report that says “Valley” should not silently combine township residents, the county, a wider service area or an entire metropolitan market. The Census record identifies Valley township’s county relationship and population, but it does not establish how many people search for legal help, which practice areas they need, or whether a particular channel produces cases. Attribution can still help you ask a more precise question: which landing pages, referrals or campaigns generated inquiries associated with the geographic audiences your firm actually serves?
Recommended approach
Set the geographic fields and reporting labels your firm will use before reviewing performance. Decide whether Valley township, Chester County and any additional Pennsylvania service areas should appear separately. Do not use the township population as a forecast. Use it only to keep the reporting boundary accurate, then evaluate actual inquiry and matter records.
