1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
A law firm may describe its service area as Upper Moreland, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania or a wider market. Those labels are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies Upper Moreland township’s county relationship as Montgomery County; it does not say that every Montgomery County resident is an Upper Moreland prospect, or that the township population represents the firm’s addressable legal market. A useful dashboard review begins by asking how geography appears in keyword, page, lead and matter reporting. Can the firm distinguish an Upper Moreland inquiry from a broader Montgomery County inquiry? Can it compare locations without treating a place name as proof of client value?
Recommended approach
Use Upper Moreland as one explicitly named geographic segment, then document any wider county or Pennsylvania scope separately. During the consultation, ask Bosseo to show how city and case-type information would appear in the dashboard and which definitions the firm would use for budget reviews.
