1. Start with the manual task, not a software category
A custom build is relevant when a recurring task does not fit the tools you already use. Bosseo’s public Custom Software page describes examples such as client status portals, speed-to-lead tools, referral trackers, document-intake flows, internal dashboards, calculators and integrations between existing systems. Those examples do not establish that your firm needs any one of them. In South Whitehall, the useful local fact is the firm’s location within Lehigh County—not a reason to assume a particular case type, volume or process. Your own workflow must determine the scope.
Recommended approach
Write down one sentence beginning with “Someone at the firm has to manually…” Then identify who performs the task, where the information originates, which steps are repeated and what a successful replacement must do. If the task is infrequent or already handled reliably, custom software may not be justified.
