Define the geographic record before judging a channel
Your Philadelphia service area needs a precise label. Philadelphia city and Philadelphia County are recorded together in the Census geography used here, but a firm may serve people who search from outside the city or may describe its market more broadly as Pennsylvania or a metropolitan area. Those are different reporting questions. A page, call or inquiry should not be treated as proof of a Philadelphia case simply because a location term appeared in a journey. Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution page says the service can show the landing page, referrer, channel and device for each lead. Use those fields to distinguish where an interaction occurred online from the geographic area your firm is prepared to serve.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic labels belong in your reporting before reviewing channel performance. At minimum, separate Philadelphia city from Philadelphia County when your intake records make that distinction possible. Do not convert the city’s population estimate into a forecast for inquiries, cases or revenue.
