1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing story coverage
The available Census record identifies Ohio township as a municipal-town in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 7,228 and a margin of error of 20. That is a description of one geographic entity, not evidence of legal demand, competition, search volume, cases or revenue. It also does not describe Ohio the state. If your firm serves Ohio, Pennsylvania or both, the service area needs to be stated at the level that matters to intake: the states, counties, metropolitan areas, municipalities or other jurisdictions where the firm accepts matters. The product page says Legal News can match stories to a firm’s practice areas and state. It does not establish that every locality, court, agency or publication relevant to your practice will be covered.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Ask how Ohio coverage would be separated from Pennsylvania coverage, how Allegheny County would be handled when it is relevant, and how the approval queue would identify the jurisdiction involved. Do not use the Ohio township population as a proxy for demand. Use it only to keep the geographic description precise.
