1. Define the geographic record before judging performance
A Northampton-serving firm may receive inquiries associated with Northampton borough, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, or places outside the borough. Those are different geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Northampton borough and its relationship to Northampton County; it does not establish search demand, competition, case volume, language preference, staffing requirements or revenue. Attribution should therefore preserve the geography actually present in the firm’s records rather than treating every Pennsylvania inquiry as a Northampton result. Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution page describes journey-level records that include the landing page, channel, referrer, device, sessions and intake answers. Together, those fields give you a basis for asking which geographic and practice-area journeys deserve review, without converting population into a forecast.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic labels your firm uses for reporting before reviewing performance. Keep Northampton borough, Northampton County and broader Pennsylvania activity distinguishable, then assess whether the available lead records support the decisions you want to make.
