1. Start with the firm’s actual Norristown service area
The Census record identifies Norristown borough as a municipality in Montgomery County. It does not establish that every resident needs legal help, searches for a lawyer, or can become a client. Your review program should therefore reflect the area your firm actually serves, rather than treating the borough’s population as a forecast. Decide whether the profile and review language should cover Norristown alone, Montgomery County more broadly, Pennsylvania, or another defined service area. Keep those geographic relationships accurate in public responses and internal reporting.
Recommended approach
Before implementation, document the locations and practice areas the firm is willing to discuss publicly. Review whether the Google Business Profile, website and responses use the same geographic scope. Do not ask clients to make location claims they cannot support, and do not use a Norristown reference as a substitute for explaining the firm’s real service coverage.
