1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The U.S. Census Bureau records Hanover township as a municipal-town in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 11,522 and a margin of error of 31. That is a description of the place and its population estimate—not evidence of legal demand, search behavior, competition, leads or revenue. A dashboard should therefore preserve geographic distinctions rather than treating every result as “Hanover.” Ask whether a report separates Hanover township from other places your firm serves, and whether county, Pennsylvania-wide and other service areas are identified separately.
Recommended approach
During evaluation, agree on the geographic labels that matter to your firm. Decide whether a city or township reference, Luzerne County coverage, statewide visibility or another service area belongs in each view. Do not approve a report until you know which geography a ranking, call, form or matter is attributed to.
