1. Define the Butler geography before reviewing the numbers
The Census Bureau records Butler township as a municipal-town in Butler County and gives it a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 16,988, with a margin of error of 24. That is population context only. It does not establish legal demand, search activity, competition, leads or revenue. It also does not represent every person or household in Butler County. Those distinctions matter when a dashboard groups performance by city, county or another service area. A firm should be able to tell whether a location label refers to Butler township, Butler County, Pennsylvania or a broader target—not treat those areas as interchangeable.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels are defined in the dashboard and how your firm will review them. Separate a Butler township view from a Butler County view where the underlying data supports that distinction. Do not use the township population estimate as a forecast. Use it only as context while deciding which geographic questions the dashboard should answer.
