1. Define the geography before reading the numbers
Bradford city and McKean County are not interchangeable geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Bradford as a municipality in McKean County and reports a city population estimate of 7,683 for 2020–2024. That is useful context for naming the market being reviewed, but it is not evidence of legal need or marketing opportunity. A dashboard review should therefore distinguish city targets from county targets rather than combine them into one unexplained total. Ask which service-and-city targets are being tracked, whether a reported call came from Bradford city or elsewhere, and how the firm wants countywide activity represented. If your practice serves Pennsylvania beyond McKean County, that wider scope should be stated separately instead of being folded into a Bradford figure.
Recommended approach
Before a review, write down the geographic labels you want to see: Bradford city, McKean County, Pennsylvania, or another defined area. Approve each label before using it in a budget or marketing discussion.
