1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing stories
Ardmore is recorded as a CDP in Pennsylvania, with county relationships to Delaware County and Montgomery County. Those relationships matter when you evaluate story relevance, but they do not establish that residents of either county are prospective clients or that a particular incident will generate searches. A firm may also serve clients beyond Ardmore, so “local” should not be treated as a substitute for the firm’s actual service area. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes monitoring local and national sources for a firm’s state and matching coverage to its practice areas.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic scope you want reviewed: Ardmore only, both named counties, Pennsylvania statewide, or another service area the firm already serves. Ask how a story is judged relevant to that scope and how the firm will handle coverage that is legally important statewide but not specifically tied to Ardmore. Keep the scope consistent in page titles, explanations and consultation decisions.
