1. Define what “The Dalles” means in the dashboard
The Dalles is a municipality in Oregon, and the Census record places it in Wasco County. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate for The Dalles city is 15,917, with a margin of error of 23. That figure describes the city’s population; it does not establish legal demand, search volume, competition, calls, matters or revenue. A useful ROI review therefore needs a geographic definition rather than a population-based assumption. Ask whether a city label means a caller’s location, a searcher’s location, a service-area page, an intake address or another field. Also decide whether Wasco County should be reviewed separately from The Dalles city. Those are different geographic scopes and should not be blended without an explicit rule.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic glossary to the consultation. Ask Bosseo to show how city, county, service area and source-page information would be represented, and decide which geographic fields may be used in internal reporting. Treat the Census population as context only, not as a forecast or performance target.
