1. Define what the dashboard should count
Bosseo’s public product page says the dashboard can classify contacts as Potential New Client, Current Client or Other, and tag leads by case type. It also describes calls as recorded, transcribed and tagged. Those labels matter for a Santa Clara practice because Santa Clara CDP is a defined census place in Lane County, Oregon, while a firm may serve clients beyond that place. A single “lead” total could otherwise combine Santa Clara contacts, other Lane County contacts and matters from elsewhere in Oregon. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year estimate records 10,551 people for Santa Clara CDP, with a margin of error of 884. That is population context, not evidence of legal demand, competition, calls or revenue.
Recommended approach
Before choosing a reporting structure, write down the meanings of contact, potential new client, qualified matter, consultation, retained matter and revenue. Decide whether location means the caller’s location, the service area selected on a form, the page or campaign that generated contact, or another documented field. Ask Bosseo to show how case-type and geographic labels appear in the dashboard and how corrections are handled.
