1. Start with Oregon City’s actual service area
The U.S. Census Bureau records Oregon City as a municipality in Clackamas County, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 37,755 and a margin of error of 33. That figure describes the city’s population; it does not establish legal demand, inquiry volume, competition, staffing requirements or revenue. For Automation, the useful local question is narrower: which inquiries does your firm intend to serve in Oregon City and Clackamas County, and what should happen when one arrives? A city page, a countywide practice and a broader Oregon service area may require different routing rules. Population should not decide those rules.
Recommended approach
Bring a precise service-area definition to the review. Separate Oregon City matters from other Clackamas County inquiries and from matters outside the firm’s intended geography. Then decide whether geography should affect ownership, qualification, follow-up or referral handling.
