1. Define the geography before reading the numbers
The dashboard page describes city and case-type views, including questions about which cities produce calls. For a Klamath Falls firm, the first decision is whether a report should distinguish Klamath Falls city from the broader Klamath County relationship recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau. Those are not interchangeable geographies. A city target, a county target and a service area should not be combined simply because they are nearby. The Census population estimate describes Klamath Falls city; it does not establish how many people search for legal services, how many are eligible clients or how much business a firm can win.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels are defined in the dashboard and how a city, county or other service area would appear. Decide which geographic distinctions are useful to your partners, intake staff and budget reviews. Treat any future Klamath Falls or Klamath County trend as an observation to interpret—not as a forecast.
