1. Start with the footprint your firm can actually serve
Bosseo’s public programmatic SEO page describes two broad scope choices: statewide coverage or a tighter footprint based on selected counties. Astoria’s recorded county relationship is Clatsop County, so a firm centered on Astoria should decide whether its service area is the city, the county, multiple Oregon counties or the state. Those are different geographic propositions. A Clatsop County footprint would not mean the same thing as Astoria-only coverage, and neither should be presented as statewide availability unless the firm accepts matters throughout Oregon. The Census population estimate can identify the municipality and its county relationship, but it cannot tell you which geographic footprint will produce clients.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Mark locations where the firm accepts new matters, locations it serves only for particular practice areas, and locations it does not serve. Ask Bosseo to show how that map would translate into service-and-city pages before choosing broad coverage.
