1. Start with Hugo and the service area you actually accept
The Census record identifies Hugo as a municipality in Choctaw County, Oklahoma. That relationship matters when you define a service area, but it does not mean a campaign should automatically target every household in the county or every nearby community. A law firm may serve only Hugo, Hugo plus Choctaw County, or a broader area. Those are different geographic decisions with different implications for profile accuracy, lead relevance and intake capacity. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description includes practice-area categories and service areas as settings to manage. It also describes proximity as one factor Google considers when deciding which firms appear. That makes geographic scope a practical pre-launch question rather than a detail to fill in later.
Recommended approach
Write down the locations you serve, the locations you do not serve, and the matters you can review. Ask Bosseo to show how those choices would be represented in the Local Service Ads profile. Do not use Hugo’s population estimate as a forecast of demand. Treat it as context for a geographic review, then rely on actual inquiry and intake records to decide whether the selected area is useful.
