1. Make the geographic question precise before judging a channel
A Clinton law firm may describe its service area by city, county, Oklahoma-wide coverage or another defined market. Those are different geographic scopes. Clinton’s recorded county relationships are Custer County and Washita County, but that relationship does not establish that every inquiry from either county is a fit for your firm. Nor does the city population establish how many people search, call, qualify or retain counsel. Attribution gives you a way to keep the question specific: which landing page, channel and stated matter type were associated with a particular inquiry or outcome?
Recommended approach
Before reviewing performance, define the geographic labels your team will use for Clinton, Custer County, Washita County and any broader Oklahoma service area. Decide whether a report should separate those areas or treat them together. Keep geographic coverage, legal eligibility and marketing source as separate fields so a large area is not mistaken for a productive channel.
