1. Start with the site you actually need to protect
A hosting decision should begin with an inventory, not a hosting label. Identify the website, domains, subdomains, databases, forms, media, redirects, analytics and email records that must remain available. A firm serving West Carrollton may also publish pages for Montgomery County, Ohio or other communities. Those geographic relationships should be documented so a move does not omit a page, redirect or intake path. West Carrollton’s Census geography is the city in Montgomery County; it is not a proxy for the firm’s full service area or for demand. Bosseo says it can migrate existing sites and handle files, databases, DNS and SSL as part of its migration approach.
Recommended approach
Bring a current domain and website inventory to the consultation. Ask Bosseo to identify what it would migrate, what remains with another provider, and what your firm must approve before a cutover.
