1. Start with the geographic question, not a population assumption
Your firm may serve Upper Sandusky, other parts of Wyandot County or areas beyond the city. Those are different reporting questions. The Census record identifies Upper Sandusky city as a municipality in Wyandot County and reports a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 6,558, with a margin of error of 309. That figure can help identify the place being discussed, but it cannot establish how many people search for legal help, which practice areas are viable or which locations produce clients. A dashboard should not turn a population figure into a demand claim. Ask how the system labels city, county, service area and other geographic dimensions, and decide which of those labels matter to your firm.
Recommended approach
At the review, bring your actual service-area definitions. Decide whether reports should distinguish Upper Sandusky from Wyandot County and from any wider Ohio coverage. Require an explicit rule for ambiguous or missing location data rather than treating every contact as an Upper Sandusky matter.
