1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its monitoring is matched to a firm’s practice areas and state. Your local decision still requires a clear boundary. Upper Sandusky is in Wyandot County, Ohio; those are different geographic references. A firm may want coverage that explains an Ohio law change, a Wyandot County proceeding or a broader state story with consequences for local readers. It should not imply that every statewide event is an Upper Sandusky event. The city’s 2020–2024 ACS population estimate is 6,558, but population does not establish how many people search for legal news or how many are potential clients.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how a proposed story would be labeled geographically before publication. Separate Upper Sandusky, Wyandot County and Ohio references in the page title, body and call to action where appropriate. Decide which locations your firm actually serves rather than treating the population figure as a market forecast.
