1. Start with a shared definition of ROI
The public ROI Dashboard description connects rankings, calls, leads and matters to revenue. It also says leads can be classified by case type and that contacts can be separated into Potential New Client, Current Client or Other. Those labels are useful only when your firm agrees on their meaning. A Toronto inquiry may concern a location inside the municipality, elsewhere in Jefferson County, or a geographic area your firm serves beyond the county. Population data cannot resolve that distinction. Nor should a call count be treated as a signed matter without an agreed transition between inquiry, qualified lead, retained client and revenue.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show the proposed definitions for contact, lead, case type, matter and revenue. Decide whether location is recorded as Toronto, Jefferson County, another service area, or an unknown value. Require a written rule for duplicate contacts, current clients, vendors, spam and inquiries that do not become matters. The useful test is whether a partner can read one record and reach the same conclusion as the intake team.
