1. Set the geographic boundary before discussing coverage
Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its monitoring is matched to a firm’s practice areas and state. For a firm serving Mount Vernon, the minimum local frame is Mount Vernon city in Knox County, Ohio. That does not automatically mean every Knox County matter, nearby municipality, Ohio-wide development or metropolitan-area story belongs on the site. A page about a statewide law change may be useful; a page about an incident outside the firm’s service area may not be. The 2020–2024 ACS estimate identifies Mount Vernon as a municipality with 17,052 residents, but it cannot show which legal topics people search for or whether a news opportunity will generate an inquiry.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate how a potential story would be classified by practice area and geography. Decide in advance whether your acceptable scope is Mount Vernon only, Knox County, Ohio, or a broader service area. Keep those boundaries explicit in page review and measurement.
