1. Match the news scope to the territory you actually serve
Medina city and Medina County are not interchangeable geographic labels. The Census record identifies Medina city as a municipality and records its county relationship as Medina County. A firm may serve the city, the county, other Ohio communities or a combination of those areas. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its system monitors local and national legal-news sources for a firm’s state and matches stories to practice areas. That supports a review of state-level relevance, but it does not establish that every story will be relevant to Medina or to your service area.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic relationship you want each page to express: Medina city, Medina County, Ohio or another clearly defined area. During a consultation, ask how that territory affects story selection, wording, calls to action and measurement. Do not use the city’s population estimate as a substitute for a demand study.
