Start with the geography your firm actually accepts
Johnstown city is a municipality in Licking County, Ohio. The 2020–2024 American Community Survey five-year estimate records 5,286 residents, with a margin of error of 21. That figure describes the city’s population; it does not establish legal demand, search volume, competition, lead volume or revenue. It also does not describe everyone who may contact a law firm serving Johnstown or the wider service area. Lead Attribution therefore should not turn the population estimate into a forecast. It should help you see the geography attached to actual inquiries and matters, subject to the information your intake and marketing systems collect.
Recommended approach
Use Johnstown and Licking County as deliberate reporting dimensions only when they match your firm’s service territory. In a consultation, decide which locations, practice areas and referral sources belong in the same review. Keep city, county, metropolitan-area and statewide activity distinct rather than combining them into one local number.
