1. Define the geography before judging a lead source
Bowling Green city and Wood County are not interchangeable. The Census record identifies Bowling Green as a municipality within Wood County. A person who contacts your firm may live in the city, elsewhere in the county or outside both while seeking an Ohio lawyer. Attribution is therefore most useful when your firm decides what geographic distinction belongs in its intake and reporting. Do not treat the city’s population estimate as a forecast of inquiries or cases.
Recommended approach
Bring your service-area definition to the consultation. Decide whether reports should distinguish Bowling Green from Wood County, Ohio more broadly or another geography your firm actually serves. Then ask how each geographic field will be captured, reviewed and used without implying that a location alone makes an inquiry qualified.
