1. Set the geographic boundary before you design the intake
A Mandan firm may want to handle matters from Mandan, elsewhere in Morton County, or a broader North Dakota service area. Those are different operating choices. The Census record identifies Mandan city and its relationship to Morton County; it does not show where prospective clients come from or which matters your firm accepts. Video Intake should therefore reflect the firm’s actual service boundary rather than treating every visitor as equally appropriate. Decide whether location is a qualification question, a routing field, or simply information your team reviews later.
Recommended approach
Write down the locations and matter types your firm is prepared to assess. During the consultation, review whether the guided path should ask where the visitor is located, where an incident occurred, or whether the matter falls within your accepted area. Do not use Mandan’s population as a proxy for likely submissions.
