1. Match coverage to the geography you actually serve
Fargo is a municipality in North Dakota, and the Census record places it in Cass County. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year estimate records 131,627 residents, with a margin of error of 53. That figure describes Fargo city; it does not establish legal-news demand, competition, search volume, leads or revenue. It also does not automatically describe all of Cass County or every North Dakota searcher. The geographic decision therefore belongs in your service definition, not in a population-based assumption. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes matching stories to a firm’s practice areas and state. A Fargo firm should ask how that state-level coverage would be narrowed, reviewed or framed for the people it actually serves.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic scope to the consultation. Separate Fargo city, Cass County, the Fargo–Moorhead area if applicable to your practice, and statewide North Dakota coverage. Confirm which locations may appear in headlines, explanations and calls to action, and avoid describing a broader area unless your firm serves it.
