1. Start with the inquiry paths your firm actually accepts
Bosseo describes Automation as a way to move a lead from a website form, call, chat or video intake into a CRM and case-management workflow. That gives you a useful starting inventory: list every way a prospective client can contact your firm, then record where each inquiry lands. A Devils Lake practice may serve people in the city and elsewhere in Ramsey County, but the city’s recorded 2020–2024 ACS population estimate of 7,308 is not evidence of inquiry volume, legal need or staffing requirements. It should not be used to choose an automation level. Your own intake records and current operating decisions should do that work.
Recommended approach
Bring a channel-by-channel map to the consultation. Ask whether each path creates a contact record, preserves the original answers and identifies the next responsible person. If a channel cannot be confirmed, treat it as an item for review rather than assuming it is connected.
