1. Define the geographic brief before you publish
Your firm may serve Siler City specifically, Chatham County more broadly, or additional North Carolina communities. Those are different editorial and measurement choices. The Census record identifies Siler City as a municipality and records its county relationship as Chatham County; it does not establish a metropolitan area, language preference or legal need. A useful Legal News brief should therefore name the geographic areas your firm actually serves rather than treating the town’s population as a proxy for demand. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says stories are matched to practice areas and the firm’s state. Ask how that state-level coverage would be reviewed for a firm whose service area includes Siler City and Chatham County.
Recommended approach
Write down the locations you are prepared to discuss, the locations you do not serve, and whether a page should describe a statewide rule or a local event. Review proposed geographic wording before approval. Measure inquiries by the location the prospective client identifies, not by population.
