1. Start with the geographic definition behind every number
Lexington city is a municipality in Davidson County, North Carolina. The 2020–2024 ACS five-year estimate records 19,690 residents, with a margin of error of 98. That population figure provides geographic context; it does not establish legal demand, competition, search volume, lead volume or revenue. Your dashboard should therefore distinguish a Lexington city target from a Davidson County target and from any broader North Carolina service area. A single “local” total can conceal which geography a ranking, call or inquiry represents. Ask how locations are named, stored and displayed, and whether a lead’s location is based on a caller’s statement, a form field, a tracked page or another method.
Recommended approach
Before selecting the product, write down the geographic labels your firm needs: Lexington city, Davidson County and any other area you intentionally serve. Ask Bosseo to show how those labels would appear in reporting and how the firm could review a result without treating population as proof of demand.
