1. Define the Durham footprint before discussing page volume
Bosseo’s public product description allows a firm to choose statewide coverage or limit the work to counties it selects. That makes geography an operating decision rather than a decorative location field. A Durham firm should first document where it is actually prepared to serve clients, then distinguish Durham city from Durham County and from any additional counties under consideration. The Census record lists Durham County, Orange County and Wake County in the location’s county relationships, but it does not say that a firm serves all three or that people in those areas are seeking legal help. The relevant question is which locations match the firm’s intake policy, court coverage, consultation practice and capacity.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to model at least two scopes: a Durham-centered county footprint and a broader North Carolina footprint. Compare the legal services included, the cities covered, the review burden and the measurement plan. Do not approve statewide coverage merely because it creates more URLs; approve it only if the firm can support the geographic promises made on those pages.
