1. Start with Davidson’s actual geographic boundary
The U.S. Census Bureau records Davidson as a municipality in North Carolina. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 15,660, with a margin of error of 291. The record associates Davidson with Iredell County and Mecklenburg County. Those facts help define the place your firm may choose to examine, but they do not establish legal demand, search behavior, competition, lead volume or staffing requirements. Attribution should therefore preserve the distinction between a Davidson inquiry, an inquiry from elsewhere in either listed county, and a matter whose source is not yet known.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic labels your intake and reporting should retain. At minimum, review whether Davidson, Iredell County, Mecklenburg County and North Carolina need to remain separate values in your records. Do not use the town’s population as a proxy for expected inquiries. Use the consultation to determine what geographic information is actually available and useful for your firm’s decisions.
