1. Start with Waterloo’s exact service geography
Your firm may serve Waterloo, the rest of Seneca County, or a wider New York market. Those are different geographic questions. The Census record identifies Waterloo as a municipal town in Seneca County; it does not establish how many people need legal help, how many will contact a firm, or how far a client will travel. Lead Attribution is therefore most useful when geographic interpretation is tied to the firm’s real intake records rather than to population alone. Review whether a lead is evaluated by residence, incident location, court location, service location, or another rule. Then decide whether geography belongs in the qualification record, the reporting view, or both.
Recommended approach
Bring your actual service-area definition to the consultation. Ask whether Waterloo and Seneca County should be treated as separate reporting dimensions, and identify any New York locations that should not be mixed into a Waterloo view.
