1. Set the geographic boundary before spending
The Census Bureau records Stony Point as a CDP in Rockland County. That exact relationship matters when you decide whether the campaign should address Stony Point alone, additional Rockland County communities, or another service area your firm actually serves. The population estimate does not establish search volume, lead availability or legal need. Bosseo’s public LSA page describes category and geography targeting, including practice-area categories and service areas set deliberately. The useful question is therefore operational: which locations can your firm serve, and which locations should be excluded?
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area boundary to the consultation. Separate Stony Point from any broader Rockland County coverage, then compare each proposed area with travel limits, court coverage, office capacity and the matters your firm accepts. Do not enlarge the target simply because a wider map appears attractive.
