1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing ROI
The U.S. Census Bureau records Rochester Institute of Technology CDP as a census-designated place in Monroe County, New York. Its 2020–2024 ACS 5-year population estimate is 6,959, with a margin of error of 464. That is a description of the designated place, not evidence of search demand, competition, legal need, lead volume or revenue. It also should not be silently expanded into Rochester, the Rochester metropolitan area or all of Monroe County. A dashboard review should therefore show exactly which service areas, cities or geographic targets are being measured. If your firm serves the campus-area CDP, other parts of Monroe County and additional New York locations, those boundaries should remain distinguishable.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate how geographic labels are represented in the dashboard and how you would prevent a Rochester Institute of Technology view from being interpreted as a countywide or metropolitan result. Use the location as a reporting filter and planning boundary, not as a forecast.
