1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the board
A Port Jefferson Station report should not quietly mix the CDP with Suffolk County, another service area or New York generally. The Census record identifies Port Jefferson Station as a CDP and records its county relationship as Suffolk County. Those are geographic facts, not evidence that residents are searching for a particular practice area or that a particular channel is producing matters. A useful review therefore asks which pages, calls, forms and tracked targets are explicitly associated with Port Jefferson Station, which belong to a broader Suffolk County strategy, and which are statewide. Without that separation, a firm may attribute activity to the wrong market.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how place names and broader geographic targets are represented in the dashboard. Decide in advance whether Port Jefferson Station is a standalone reporting scope, part of a county view or one location within a wider New York program. Keep the definitions visible when partners review the numbers.
