1. Define the reputation area before asking for reviews
Ontario’s geographic identity matters when you decide which clients and searches belong in the program. The Census identifies Ontario as a municipal town in Wayne County, New York. A firm may serve Ontario, other parts of Wayne County, nearby metropolitan areas, or clients who are not physically located in the town. Those are different coverage questions. Population alone cannot tell you where prospective clients search or which other firms they compare.
Recommended approach
Map the firm’s real service area before selecting campaign language. Review the Google Business Profile, the counties and communities the firm actually serves, practice-area boundaries, and any matters that should not receive an automated request. Keep the public profile accurate and avoid implying that the firm serves a place, matter type, or client group it does not serve.
