1. Start with the calls your team cannot answer
Bosseo describes AI Answering as a safety net: your team receives the first ring, and the AI steps in when nobody answers within 20 seconds. It also describes coverage for nights, weekends, holidays and overflow. For an Ontario firm, the implementation question is therefore operational rather than demographic. Review the hours your office answers, the periods when calls are routed to voicemail, and the circumstances that cause a caller to hear a busy signal. Do not use Ontario’s population estimate as a proxy for call volume or demand. Instead, compare your actual phone records with the response paths you want callers to receive.
Recommended approach
Bring your current call-routing rules and a representative review of unanswered-call periods to the consultation. Decide which calls should go to the AI, which should remain with staff, and who owns the callback when a summary arrives.
