1. Replace “How did you hear about us?” with a journey record
A prospective client may remember only a broad answer such as “Google.” Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution page describes a more detailed record: channel, referrer, landing page, device, session detail and intake answers. The stated purpose is to connect the source and substance of an inquiry instead of relying on memory or a manually maintained source field. For an Onondaga practice, that distinction matters when one web property serves people in the town, elsewhere in Onondaga County, or beyond the county. The geographic label alone does not explain which page or channel prompted contact.
Recommended approach
Review whether your current intake notes preserve the first meaningful source, the landing page, the relevant case type and the prospect’s answers. Ask whether staff can see enough context to assign the inquiry correctly without asking the same source question repeatedly. Keep geographic coverage and legal-service qualification as separate fields for review rather than treating an Onondaga address as proof of fit.
